Once again the Alberta St George of England Society is celebrating our 34th Anniversary by offering an afternoon at Northlands Park in the final year of racing at this venue.
When: Saturday 17 September 2016, 1 p.m. Lunch is served at : 2 p.m. Cost: $35 per person for members and $42 for non-members
Book tickets for your guests and yourself through Ann Hender at 780-467-4122 Lunch will be buffet style and there will be coffee and tea.
The bar will be available all afternoon. We will have our own private room, the Directors Suite, just like last year, from which we will be able to watch the races; in addition we will be able to access outside for the paddock area, the finish line and the winners enclosure. It’s always fun to wager a bet especially when right on the course and Northlands usually have someone on hand to explain betting procedures.
Minimum bet is only $2 so you can have a grand time without spending anything - or with very little. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. There is a limit of 50 people so this is first come first serve.
Oh, by the way, free parking is available to the south and east of the stands at Northlands Park, accessed from 112 Avenue.
Choral group looking for members The St. George Choral Group is looking for new members. No musical experience is necessary, just a love of singing. We have a good time singing and having fun at our rehearsals so please don’t be shy come join us. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 pm.
